Sorry, should have phrased my question differently?
Is it worth going? It is geographically desirable, but that doesn't make it worth attending in and of itself.
it looks like a good time- 1st time is this year, i know halloween zombie is thinking on going

I am going its the first year as a large event and only 20 minutes from where I live. Aside from what I heard about the event in its previous version and give it a fresh start.

I'll try to make it, but Roxy can't. It's Easter weekend and her Church choir will be singing at a boat load of services. :(
Oops I just realized this post was for last years convention. Oh Well, there's going to be a 2009 one too.

I went last year when it was called the Eastern Haunters Convention. This year it is called the National Haunters Convention. I wrote a review about it. You can read it here: http://www.hauntforum.com/showthread.php?t=10723&highlight=eastern+haunters+convention
I will be going again this year. I'm expecting more this year. Mike and Robert have been hard at work making improvements.

Scratch that. I won't be going this year. I just went to sign up and they are charging to get into the show floor and charging $10 and up for each class. Plus, again this year their bus tour is super expensive. I'm not sure why it costs so much more than the other Halloween conventions. It looks like I'm gonig to Hauntcon and MHC instead.

I agree with HZ. It doesn't look like you get much for the entrance fee other than checking out the vendors - which is sad because I did go last year and had a blast. I'd much rather go to Ironstock this year.
