THAT is cool!!! And you're right... I'm not sure I've seen anyone take that approach... it's not the first thing people think of when they do a mummy... but that's just cool. Be perfect for a catacombs/Indy Jones type haunt.

Thanks for the kind words everyone...I had second thoughts about entering it because it is so different, but what the heck...It was fun to put together...My first idea was to cover it solid with jewels, but I started with the eyes and from there the darn thing took on a life of it's own a turned out totally different than I had imagined.

It definitely has a "ritualistic-ceremonial sacrifice" edge to it. I'm glad you entered it! Great job!
I like this - very convincing replication, and a year-round display piece to boot!

Very nice beelce and very original! :D When I first saw your bejeweled Aztec Mummy Head it reminded me of the ancient Maya sacrificial practice: after purification virgins were weighted down with heavy jewelry and left in sinkholes (portals to the underworld). Also would be wonderful, as others have said, in Gypsy or Indiana Jones type haunts. I'd love to know, what do you have envisioned for your haunt theme?
