This thing gave my wife nightmares last night
http://www.grimvisions.com/images/2005/IMG_1319.jpg

It cost me about 12 dollars in materials and 20 minutes to put together and place on the porch.
Darn thing gives me the creeps, I almost disassembled it last night.

to say it simply: that kicks ass.
It looks like that little girl from "The Ring".
keep up the good work!

Yeah the girl from the ring was obviously the inspiration for that one.

"Samarra"
When she came out of the TV and flopped across the floor... I love that part. The premise of the movie was histerical! Can you imagine the mental giants thinking this one up? "OK, let me get this straight: so it's a video tape, right? After you watch it, your phone rings and a voice tells you you are gonna die horribly a week later... and and a week later, a little dead girl in a well shows up and kills you (horribly)? Sounds good, when can we start production?"
Should we all assume that the little dead girl in the well has a phone, a calendar and some video editing equipment?

LOL Good points kevin...It's a silly premise for sure but still a creepy girl.

Well the ring was orginially a chinese movie. They made the american one as sort of an omage to it.

The girl in it is sort of a modifyed Praling, Langsuyar, or Pontianak. For definitions on those head to http://asiasghosts.fateback.com/ghost_database.htm

they look almost exaclty like the prop, supposedly this is a photograph for one. note there's no ledge where the girl is sitting.

NO Vlad you can't borrow it. We have enough things in this house that cause me to have nightmares.

Morbius, Yes that is basically it. I didnt like the way the foam head looked in the light, so I tied a white plastic shopping bag over her head and stretched it tight across her face, makes it sorta shiny (and I think it also makes it hard for her to breathe, but thats OK since if she cant breathe she cant get me)

Death from above... The mouse Air Force.

It is a great prop Krough, and you're right about keeping it simple sometimes.

Since this is an older post, the picture link isn't working....I was going to request an updated link, but after some thought, that's fine. I don't need any more nightmares!

I fixed the link, with a photo. I moved to my more official Halloween site at grimvisions.com early this year, So I think there are probably a few broken images out there. Oh well

That is really good. Too bad all props can't be that cheap and effective. It really strikes a nerve.

I'm seriously considering converting Fred to look like your "Ring" girl, Krough. I feel bad that I had to rush him complete for the haunt last year. (only had three hours to work on him)

Now I want a ring girl too. But knowing me she would be Britney Spears. But there are people who are afraid of her.

If you were to place this in a darkened upstaris bedroom, how would you light it? Strobe? black light?
This is too creepy and easy not to do.:smoking:

How about one of those cheap 3 or 4 dollar computer fans powered by a wallwart under her to give her a little movement and maybe a blue light or spot on her to make her seem really erie?
You are right jdubbya, she is almost to easy to make to pass up. I think she would fit in with cemetary theme. Maybe a ghost in the back ground or in a window inside. Have to think about this one.
