Inspired by some great scarecrows seen recently (especially that of Pumpkinrot), I decided to try my hand at creating one. A lot of dead vines, a $5 skull from Target, a hot glue gun, hat and coat from a secondhand store, and lots of twigs...

Bit of work to go yet, but here he is.....

Note to self: Hot glue really...is....friggin.......HOT.
Try avoid getting it on your fingers in the future.:jol:

Elgin is where I used to live, but it was the Original in the Grampian region of Scotland!

I like it landrvr1. Very organic. Like the vines took over the body.

Me too, me too. This is my version of Johnny Appleseed.
Hey, landrvr1. You are not to far from me. I am in Lombard.

Great stuff, DeathTouch. Where DID you get that Scarecrow's hat???? In my view, the style of hat is the most important element (unless, like Krough's scarecrow, you don't have one - which is a whole other kinda creepy). Mine is just a tad too small. It seems as though hats with a really wide brim seem to look the coolest. I did see that you lived in Lombard!

Hey DeathTouch,

Nice Scarecrow. What was the hat style you used?

The hat in the link below is the one I used. I had to mod a bit, but it turned out nice. I need to make it more worn next year.

Oh, if you got the website I listed before, just type in Harry Potter in the search and it will come with a lot more options.
