Flicker bulb ran on batteries?

I have a single flicker blub (walmart brand) that is mounted inside a lantern. Is there an easy way to run this off a 9v battery? It would only need to run for a few days but I am really trying to cut down on the cords in the yard. I have ordered LED's and planned on making a flicker circuit but they have not come in and I really cant wait. Any ideas are welcome.

there really is only one way to find out. hook a 9v up and see what happens. might be very dim and won't last long.;)
