Finial Tombstone

Started on a new tombstone this weekend, got about halfway through the base texturing:

I used a packing carton from a lamp I bought as a base. I loved the shape.
since it was cardboard I wrapped the box in foil duct tape to seal it up. I'm using premixed adhesive grout (sanded) to give me the stone texture.

Hopefully by next weekend I can start painting.

No progress last weekend.. my "workshop" was full of cars dodging Hurricane IKE.

Still no power yech! but of course the people across the street have power. double yech!
