He made the figures by wrapping live models in plaster-soaked fabric to achieve his Apostle o’ Shrouds effect. (http://www.soothbrush.com/ghost-town-of-rhyolite-pics/)
This would be pretty cool for a Halloween Prop.

I saw those several years ago. If I remember correctly, I think they were in a ghost town near death valley. Very cool.

That is very cool. I had a similar idea. I want to take a thick plastic, like a drop cloth clear plastic, heat it up just enough to to stretch it around a wig head or something...maybe my face. So if you all don't hear from me for a while that means I am dead in my garage with melted plastic stuck on my face and covering all of my vital orifices.
