Required materials:
soda bottles
duct tape
cotton balls
wire hangers
twine
deodorant ball
Other materials:
newspaper - Free
4 bottles Elmer's glue - $0.52
latex - $6.00
paint (black, tan, white, red) - $2.00
wood stain - $2.00
bamboo garden skewers - $0.50
old fence post - $1.00
I cut the ends off of two soda bottles and then duct taped them together and crushed them. I then attached a wire hanger cut and shaped into a hand and covered in duct tape and cotton balls. The whole thing was paper mached. I painted it black and then dry brushed a tan color. That wasn't looking quite right so I added a layer of latex, though my latex is old and had changed to the consistency of butter. I then stuck on unrolled cotton balls and brushed with stain. The eye is a deodorant ball with a printed iris glued on and a little paint.
I cut down bamboo garden stakes and stuck them in the ground and just placed then arms down over them. The cross is an old fence post nailed together and tied with twine.
Some in the works pics and night pics though my lighting was bad.
