I have been looking on various halloween sites trying to find a good looking crow to set up on my halloween display. Well after finding nothing but dissapointing attempts at crow cloning a lightning bolt hit me.

I decided to check hunting stores for crow Decoys. The best way to call in a live animal is to use a decoy that looks like a live animal. Sure enough Cabela's came through and offers 2 different styles of crow that look better than any other crow i have seen online. After reading the reviews i have also found out that the decoy is a little bigger than your average crow and more around the size of a Raven (WHAT A BONUS!!). They are also competetively priced to those that you find at halloween stores.

Heres the link (http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/links/link.jsp?id=0041316228316a&type=product&cmCat=SEARCH_all&returnPage=search-results1.jsp&%2Fcabelas%2Fcommerce%2FCabelasCatalogNumberFinder .giftCertificateURL=%2Fcabelas%2Fen%2Ftemplates%2F giftcertificate%2Fgiftcertificate.jsp%3Fid%3D00055 86990011a%26podId%3D0005586%26catalogCode%3DIB%26n avAction%3Djump%26indexId%3D&Ntk=Products&QueryText=crow+decoy&sort=all&_D%3AhasJS=+&N=0&_D%3A%2Fcabelas%2Fcommerce%2FCabelasCatalogNumberF inder.giftCertificateURL=+&Nty=1&hasJS=true&_DARGS=%2Fcabelas%2Fen%2Fcommon%2Fsearch%2Fsearch-box.jsp.form23&_dyncharset=ISO-8859-1)

Only down side is that there are no feet but i can make my own if i am that desperate.

Right now Garden Ridge has the feathered crows on sale....picked up 2 small ones for 5.99
and a large one with spread wings for 11.00 last night. I think the sale last til Oct 7th so I will pick up more next week on payday and hopefully all the leave will fall off the tree in the yard and I will have them in the tree.

I believe cabela's price is just for one. I have to return some camping gear to cabela's so if i see some crow decoys there i will be sure to pick them up and let you know how they look.

I found some on ebay that are selling two in a pack for 25.00 plus shipping.

They have some close ups of the birds and they look awesome!

I am deffinately getting the crow decoys. Not only can i use them for halloween i can also use them for hunting. Plus i can use it to keep small birds away. They keep making birds nest in my fireplace chimney.
