I've got a Boris skull that I have done all of the good hacks on (removed speaker, added phono plug and fine-tuning capacitor).
For the past few years I've been using him via Internet (http://hauntforum.com/showthread.php?t=9098) at my party.
The system works reasonably well, but unfortunately the webcam audio codecs are based on focusing on a single voice, and the conference always fails when there are many people in the room talking at once (or at least that's our theory).
For next year, I'd like to go old school and just use a telephone for the audio portion (and keep the webcam for video only).
I want to wire a speakerphone so that the phone's microphone works normally, but instead of using the phone's speaker, it plays the incoming audio through my Boris and his powered computer speakers.
Is this as easy as clipping out the speaker from the phone and wiring a phono jack to those cables? I assume it's not, but hey, it never hurts to dream.
Thanks for your help, Haunt Folks! :jol:
