OK, despite all the crap I'm getting from you guys for not meeting in December, I'm going to still let you come over to play..lol. How is January 3 for everyone? This way the tree will still be up for the presents to go under and we can make it a Christmas/New Years party. Any later than that and I'll have to take the tree down because I don't feel like fighting the grandkids for another month to keep them away from it. Let me know how that day works for everyone and if it seems that the majority are available then, we'll go for it.

Jan. 3rd is our make and take Christmas party.
Once again we are asking that everyone bring a covered dish or dessert for dinner. This has worked out great and we seemed to always have plenty of food for everyone.

I'm making twice baked Potatoes and bringing all the toppings for them. I'll probably make a cheesecake as well for dessert.

It doesn't matter to me what you plan on working on, just know that the Christmas decorations are still up and space is limited. If you want to work outside, it's going to be COLD, but it's up to you. I wish I had more work space, but since I haven't been able to get into the garage to clean it out, that's out and the downstairs is almost as cold as the garage, so it's your choice. Me, I'll be hanging out, socializing and hiding the alcohol from Ken and Jay. :(

OK change in menu. Since I've been in cook mode all week I'm now bringing Stuffed Cabbage, Feta/Ricotta & Spinach Stuffed Shells, 3 cheese Roasted Red Pepper Stuffed Shells and a Cheesecake.
In between cooking today I'm finishing up my gift.

Holy Crap !! We could probably feed a small country. In addition to my sausage & peppers and jello shots, I'll also be bringing some mini pound cakes soaked in apricot schnapps syrup - so we'll be eating lots of alcohol as well as drinking it.

I have a couple things I'm bringing just to get some expert opinions and answers on - not going to be working on anything - looking forward to just "visiting".

I just got done preparing my meal. I went down to the local supermarket and pulled it out of the freezer. Desserts are cheesecake, pound cake and I made babana pudding. Well, guess I better go back upstairs before they come looking for me. If you don't hear from me by tomorrow, call 911!!!!!

I will make sure I keep any props away from Ken and Jay next time! I forgot my rubber chicken last night, so I can only imagine what happen to it...lol! Anyway the party was terrific! The food was awesome! Everyone was great and so much fun to be around. Jeff was my secret Santa and I can't say enough about the incredible job he did with the gift he put together. I love it so much! I will be posting pics of it in the next few days. Sorry wish Jeff, Jeremy, and of course Nyxie could of been there. It was a great time - as always. Pattie and Kenny are the ultimate gracious hosts. I always look forward to a gathering in Jersey. Well.... except for the part where I have to drive through Elizabeth. It was great to see old friends, and make new ones. If you've never been to their group - GO! Friends are the only thing you will find there! Hopefully it won't be another year till I get there again.

Apparently there is such a thing as "late" - and we were it. I apologize for keeping you all waiting - I didn't know we were starting the party at 9am - lol. A good time was had by all (except that poor rubber chicken). Was so happy to see everyone that could make it - missed the friends that couldn't be there - and was happy to meet a new friend (Phobos). Sorry Pattie and Kenny for keeping you up so late - it was way past our bed time too. Thanks, as always, for being the gracious hosts. Thrilled that Black Cat was my secret santa and I got (amongst other things) a one of a kind dryer lint picture frame (don't mean to rub it in, but nanananana). Looking forward to February!

It was nice to just hang out and relax with friends. Tons of food and drink. My secret santa gave me a CD player which I'll be able to use in the haunt. It's also portable so a big plus for when we run out of electrical outlets.

Elaine, so happy you liked your gift. Loved the little scream when you opened it up. Can't wait to see pics of it when you find the right pic for it.

O...finally recuperated and surveyed the damages. The baby gate for the grandkids got ripped off at the top of the stairs, and the doorstop for my front door got kicked off, so now there is a giant hole where the doorknob went through the wall. All in all not bad...LOL. It was so nice just hanging out with everyone and finally getting a chance to relax. Usually I'm the one running up and down the stairs all day trying to find assorted things for the haunters. Jeff, pay no attention to what everyone is saying about having a good time. I'm sure your time with the in-laws was MUCH more fun...hehehe :p I think the greatest surprise of the day was having Phobos walk through the door. He rode down here, in freezing weather, on his motorcycle, for almost 2 hours, with 2 cheesecakes on the back just to hang out with us. If that doesn't say friendship I don't know what does. Thanks again everyone for helping with the food.
