there were 3 war of the worlds movies thsi year. 2 went right to dvd,cause they knew the tom c films would rule the box offices.

here is a review of the preiod piece one.it is set in 1899 an fallows the book .

i got it for 8$ a walmart,3 hours of wooden actting and lame spfx. i feel every minute of it also.

i have not seen this one yet.

I'm sorry but so far none of the War Of The Words have been excilent... I mean the new Steven Speilberg and Tom Cruise one was okay but not as great as it could have been.
As for Eve of the war it followed the book in a better way but was the biggest piece of crap I've seen in awhile.

I think the only real honest to god good way to make the movie is to set it back in the 1800's with good SPFX and good acting... Cuz I really really want to see the Thunderchild...

to do it right, i would say t.v. mini series that woudl be enough time to tell the whole story.

Well I thought the Jeff Waynes CD did quite a good addaption of the story. That may be a bit better to follow then some docter flying around in a plane, a singal dad, a dad who gets spilt up from his family or the original story witch I guess didn't turn out too well... In my opion none of the War of the Worlds films really did anything for me...
