People, people, people, I am a man in desperate need. I cannot think of what to add to my display next year. I am all out of ideas. The internet has not provided me with any pictures of prople's yards for me to get ideas from. The only thing i have been able to come up with is the Bucky BBQ (thanks to Kevin242's site). I need more ideas. My yard did have a lot going on last year but this year it needs a little more. I have ideas to make a few static props but they are gonna be tough to do because i want to put one on top of the house (Vampire perched on my roof overlooking the yard). The other is my Freak N Monster costume from last year. I feel like i still need something else. I wanted to add more Bucky's but ho and where? For those that did not see my yard i will post some pics to give you an idea how it will be setup.
Any and all ideas are welcomed.
Thank you so much.

Not pictured in any of these pictures are my Pig Heads on wooken Stakes that i had scattered throughout the yard. I would like to try and fill in those empty spaces a little more.

How about a cemetery fence with some columns. Maybe add more corn stalks and add characters in the corn rows (i.e. masks/heads peering out, led eyes).

I thought about doing a cemetary fence and pillars its just that i don't know if i have the room to store all of that stuff.

There's always room for a gargoyle or two!

I agree with the idea of a fence - you can make it in sections so it can be broken down post-Halloween for easier storage. You could also go for a smaller fenced-in graveyard in just part of the yard (in the style of those old family plots people used to have on their properties) with more tombstones to give it that lovely jumbled up look typical of old graveyards.
Those two front windows on the second floor are perfect for showcasing some ghostly figures. If you don't have time to build a crank ghost, you can easily and quickly put together static figures - simple framework from PVC, drape them with white cloth, hang from the ceiling (assuming you keep them light), and illuminate with a black light. A small oscillating fan pointed in their direction will give movement.
I think a Bucky barbecue is a great idea - will this be in the format of a family gathering for a summer picnic or are the Buckies the main dish?:D You could also have a Bucky pushing a lawn mower (static to keep it simple), a Bucky doing some gardening (shovel or hoe in hand), some Buckies lounging in lawn chairs with beverages of some kind. You appear to have plenty of room in your yard to add a nice little "family" scene like that.
We put a couple Bluckies in one of our cars in our driveway (seat-belted in for safety:)). They were a big hit with the TOTs and cost no effort other than putting them in the car. You may need a little lighting (portable lamp of some kind inside the car) so they can be seen a little better, depending on how well lit your driveway is. Next year we may add a Bucky mechanic (working under the hood of the car) and maybe some kicking legs coming out from underneath the car.
That's all I can think of at the moment.

A groundbreaker coffin would look great in your cemetery!

I love your scarecrow. If you were to add some lighted pumpkins at the bottom of the display that would look cool.

I was thinking about doing a ground breaker since they are relatively easy to do. I was also thinking about doing lighted pumpkins but am too afraid of people walking off with them same with the gargoyles.
Also i want to try and stick with the gore ang gross theme. I like to play the creepy scary card as well. I will admit that this has deffinately helped get the wheels turning i drew up to ideas so far so that is a great start for me.
I always wanted to try this...

you could make you fence out of tree branches with corpsed skulls on them , use grape or raspberry vines for chain type...toss branches after or burn them..
a couple corpsed ground breakers..more tombstones
maybe a corpsed wolf or dog from reindeer gizmo
cemetery caretaker?
something that looks like a hole in ground lit up red with corpsed guys crawling out..
( a tire would work..use hay and leaves sticks up against side sloping down ward)
some creeeeps
I agree some ghostly figures in windows..pumpkins on the porch
a reaper
If you dont want to use reg lighting get some torches to set up

I was thinking about ways to do something with fire. I thought it would be a nice touch.
Also i want to leave teh windows alone because those are off limits according to the warden. Basically i can do what ever i want to the outside of the house but the inside is off limits.
I am kicking the cemetary fence pillars around. That will take a lot of time to do and will be rather costly too in materials.
The caretaker isn't a bad idea.
