Count us in. Any idea on what we'll be working on? Finishing up past projects or starting a new one?

hpropman

I though we were going to finish up the wiper motor prop stuff that everyone was working on. But whatever you want to do is fine with me. Sharon, Hanging prop guy? Maybe you can incorporate the rubber chicken in that prop! LOL

Just to let you know that I will TRY to make a work area in the garage, or downstairs someplace, but depending on the weather, working on the wiper motor project may be tough. We need smaller, winter projects, that we can work on indoors, like a makeup demo or something like that, LOL

Yeah. I can work on adding led eyes to my head for the wiper motor project. Vlad I still need a power source. Im open to anything. Just let me know what to bring.

Have we decided what we are going to be doing? I was planning on bringing some wire and plastic worms and such to make creepy crawlies unless we decide to make something else. I am also bringing a Jar and yellow highlighters for some aliens in a jar thing. Has anyone seen those grow in water animals. I will hit the dollar stores this weekend to check and see what they have. we can also use the white crayola modeling clay.

Hi Joe, Do you have any pictures of what your talking about for the jar ideas? Is everyone bringing jars to work on? Do we need poison labels or other supplies?

I guess it's kinda cold to work outside on the wiper motor props we started.

Pattie still has no computer so I'm relaying everything back to her via the tellie.

POTLUCK dinner......bring a covered dish and something to drink.

Today I hit the dollar store and got a bunch of the grow in water animals, and a big bag of google eyes. Karen just check out the links from my post on the first page to see all the Jar and alien links. look at links 1,2,3,4, and 6. We might even be able to use the drier lint clay. How does it hold up in water? Anyway I am looking forward to seeing everyone again.

Like I said I wouldnt mind adding LED eyes to my wiper motor head project. That should not take long then I could join in with the jar project. I will be bringing jars, brown twine, dried goods and other little tidbits for the inside. How does latex hold up in water?

hpropman
02-22-2009, 08:57 PM
Sure, we can do some more leds as well I will bring my electronics stuff as well. Do you already have the leds and wire that you need already. We had some left over from the last time we did leds I think Vlad may have them. Jeff or Karen do you have the leds or does another member have them?

Joiseygal

I would love to work with the led lights again. I need a refresher course. I bought red led lights so I will bring some for everyone. I need that other thing to get the led lights to work? What was that thing called again?

Yes. I have the lights and resistors for using a 5v power source. Most of my wires are short. I have not been able to scrape up any longer leads. JoseyGal I had included the lights and resistors in your wighead kit needed to do an eye set so you should have everything you need.

hpropman
02-23-2009, 12:56 PM
I should be able to scrape up some wire, resistors, and I think I have a few 9volt battery clips left, I may not have any 9v batteries anyone have any? I have to look

Wise guy! LOL....Yes I have a battery. It was the resistors I was thinking of. Oh and Jeff I don't want to use your gift until I have time to make one of your foam heads. I bought some red led lights from ebay, but I didn't get the resistors. I will buy some copper and resistors from radio shack so I can make a few sets of led light eyes on Saturday. Joe do you have that voltage scanner device thingy? Sorry don't know the proper terms yet???

20 to 22 gauge is ideal but 18 gauge will work also. Sharon it is called a multimeter and it is used for measuring voltage, current, resistance (resistors), and a few other things depending on the model. Here is a link to teach you about it if you want to learn more.

http://www.ladyada.net/library/metertut/

Here is a led tutorial as well.

Elaine, any chance of bringing the skull molds and Ralph? I'd like to teach him basic casting. Digger, if you show up before they're awake walk in, lol.

So whats everybody bringin for food? I was thinking 7 layer dip. I do have mention though that there is a chance my hearing will not be up to par. I have an ear infection in one ear and the other is getting there so I have to put drops in my ears. So if I start sawing my thumb off let me know by tapping me in on the shoulder. Its gonna be a fun day.

Yeah I think a little more soupy but not too runny. I like to do two small pours. I use 2 full 8oz plastic cups of plaster and 1 full cup and a quarter of that cup of cold water. stir really good and make sure you get all the plater on the sides. I use a smaller container too.
