I have to ask, what does the not attached to any other public groups or somthing on the member list mean?

I could set up a group of secondary user groups if I wanted to. So say you're a registered member (which you are), I could create secondary groups to better focus the type of member you are (home haunter, yard haunter, etc). I don't see any benefit in using the group manager, so I don't have it enabled.
