wow it is finally done. It was a struggle to get in in under budget but I managed to pull it off. Anyway without further delay I give you Colin "I want candy" Clive (can you identify the actor and the movie- do not cheat and look it up). I took a holiday dancing animal (a reindeer I think) skinned it and salvage some components from the controller board as well as the switch. I made a new controller board that controls the motor from the toy as well as the MP3 player. I wanted to use a pressure mat as a trigger but I could not get it in the budget even using foil, foam, and cardboard. The try me button from the toy became the trigger. It is not clear in the smaller video but he is shaking the bars with his arms as well. I have posted a video and some pictures here. the cost is listed here.

Nice! The movement reminds me of all the recent movies with characters doing that fast, jerky head thing. ....I'm not even sure if my previous sentence makes sense.

Excellent! I love the action and the voiceover. The TOTs will definitely get a kick out of him.

As for Colin Clive, he played the title role in "Frankenstein" ("It's alive, it's alive"...) with Boris Karloff as The Monster. I think that movie was the only one in which Boris Karloff's name appeared in the credits simply as "Karloff".

If I remember correctly, he was "Karloff" at the end credits, but for the opening credits, he was billed as "?"

Great job on this guy! I'm going to be hunting down that mystery x-mas prop this year!

Great prop! I can picture him fighting a second prop using just their heads... I think that was in a "Tales from the crypt" episode.
