Well, I've started my 3 axis Graveyard Greeter that will be my main focus for this season. I went for the "just dug up" look - what do you think?

I used a base of khaki spray paint and let that dry overnight. Then I covered everything with a wash of flat brown spray paint that was rubbed off while still wet. I then took thinner to some parts of the skeleton to bring out highlights.
I may still touch up here and there, but think I'm done for the most part. My idea is to have him at my cemetery gate as a gravedigger. He'll be talking to the audience and also conversing with a skull that looks like he just dug it up along with some other bones. He'll be leaning on an old shovel to make it look like he's taking a break. The whole premise is that the skull from the grave wants the skeleton to get back to work and dig the rest of him up.

The paint job on this guy is absolutely top notch. He looks as real as a dead thing can get.

I also am anxiously awaiting a vid of the finished production. It looks great and if it all comes together for you I am sure it will be a huge hit at your haunt ( and on this forum).

Great job on the "just dug up" look, Spooky! Really well done! Is that a 4th Quality Bucky?

Thanks everybody. Yes, it is a 4th quality Bucky, but I'm using a Lindberg skull for the head. I bought the 3 axis kit from Graveyard Skulls. I highly recommend their product.

He looks great. Any difficulty in attaching the Lindberg skull on the bucky?

Spooky1-
Not really. I cut the bucky rod down and used a coupling nut. The bucky's rod is smaller than the threaded rod on the 3 axis skull, so I hammered the coupling nut down over the bent part (if you take the first 4 or 5 vertebrae off you'll see what I mean) and drilled a hole through the nut and rod so that I could put a screw in there. This anchored the coupling nut to the skeleton. Then the bolt on the 3 axis skull screwed right in. I used a heat gun to loosen up some of the vertebrae so that they would cover the coupling and go almost all the way up to the skull.
