A couple of summers ago, my parents threw a fit after I "kicked" them out of the garage in order to work on my haunted house. Skip forward a couple years and now my mother tells me "You really need to get started on your haunted house stuff!"

Well, I am sure the first year there was some doubt if you were serious or just making a big mess in the garage. If all went well the first year and you started on the second year your credibility went up and they may have been more supportive. And from what I have seen of your work and they way you talk about it all I am sure they are proud of the stuff you do even if they dont say so. Parents can be funny that way.
