I am interested in making my own fogger, I can find timer plans online but I can't find any plans that don't involve using mineral oil. Does anyone have a link or a set of plans for building a fogger that uses standard glycol fog juice?
Another requirement is that they have to be able to run off a car battery.
This is for Ghost Train. See my drawing of the layout; on the west end, its a pain to run power cords everywhere. We have a generator that is situated under the bridge, but digging a trench under the track is a major pain in the butt.

Why not just use a regular fogger and a power inverter connected to your 12v source?

This topic has been brought up MANY times in the past. I am sure others will suggest that you steer clear from home made fog juice. Incorrect amounts of chemicals will make formeldahyde and possibly create a toxic ploom for your guests to inhale...you can imagine the next sequence of events after that happens...

I suggest buy a simpler 400 watt fogger, and like joker said, get a power inverter. I'm no electronic thingy expert, but imagine 400 watt fogger will suck 1 car battery dead pretty fast. You'll probably need to wire them together to make a big old battery.
Or get some water and alot of dry ice - totally portable!

Aren't boat/golf cart batteries a better option for that use than car batteries?

Hmmm. Yes, you then bury them and after a while have a new batch of Skelly's for next year!
