Scored these cool little mummies for 10 bucks at a thrift store, One of them is a bit beat up but nothing that can"t be fixed. They have a hollow space like a candy dish in the skulls, should I just fill them in or was thinking of puting in a light bulb and covering it with red and orange fishtank crystals. Make it look like their skulls are smoldering lava. What do you think?

I would go with the smoldering lava look, and then use them as pathway markers.

Fixed oh you mean beat up/distress the one that wasn't:)
I think the silk flames idea would be cool.

They're kinda small. What kind of fan could I use?
Computer fans are small ... :)

What's the diameter of the opening? You might be able to use a small (figure 4-6" box fan) or if its smaller than that use a computer cooling fan.

Another thing you could do with the crystals and light bulb idea is to use a couple of flicker bulbs spaced out and timed opposite of each other so that the "lava" looks like its moving around.

I think I'm going to stick with the smoldering lava look. The flicker bulbs are a good idea. I think it will look better from close up rather than the flames. Thank you all so much for the feed back!
