Very impressive use of some Blucky arms. I may have to copy this for use in the skeleton comedy club. Good job!

I like this prop! If triggered by a PIR, this could be used to have a skelly ring a bell when TOT's approach. Hmmm...

That looks really cool, but since you used the dewalt drill to hold it down, that counts. That is part of the prop. 200 bucks for dewalt drill. LOL.

Very cool indeed, but a lack of use of Christmas lights has GOT to really count against you, and the DeWalt Drill does count. Looks my entry is still hanging on to 3rd place! :0>

Thanks for all the kind words. This forum has really feuled my interest in all of this, and I am looking forward to many more props and discussions with you folks.

Oh, and if you are going to count the DeWalt in my prop, then we need to count the lawn that Krough's entry is sitting on. Lets see, $70 a pallet for sod, times 20 pallets....

Man I LOVE those! We gotts ta get together and talk...Your "from concept" to "implimentation" of mechanics/animatronics and application to Halloween props is right up my alley. Very original. My vote.

A new idea came to me today. I wonder how the twitching arms would look if the whole blucky was attached to them?:confused: PM me sometime Dr. Morbius, I would be happy to discuss this stuff. I am pretty new to it, but having a blast!

Could look really cool. Like you could mount the motorized rig up on a ledge and have the blucky dangling there. I wonder how the body would move with the arms moving that way?

I would think you would get more of a slow sway back and forth if you simply attached the body to the arms as is. You could also create a mechanism to translate the 'twitch' farther down into the body, for example pulling up on the arms instead of twisting the wrists should make it like it was shrugging it's shoulders. Shrugging one shoulder and twitching one leg should look pretty cool, too. Could even have it hanging from a mocked up power transformer or jacobs ladder.

OK, I would like to pro-rate the sod, My house is roughly 100 years old. Can I pro-rate based on the amount of time the prop was on my lawn?

I think it adds about 12 cents

You know, if we all combine all the finished props together, we would have one mean looking tree stump, who can scratch his own butt if people walk pass. LOL.

Well then I need to tell you the Dewalt is an empty case I picked up at a garage sale for $1.00. I use it to show off the workshop when the inlaws come over.

The arms are very impressive. Very well thought out and quite creative in every asspect.
By the way, I have a broken Dewalt drill that would really impress the in-laws. Just don't let them try to use it or the sham is up!!

Thanks for the kind words darryl, I am gald you like the arms. I will gaurd my 'broken' Dewalt as if it actually worked!
