I spent the bulk of today designing some new items for the HauntForum CafePress Shop (http://www.cafepress.com/hauntforum).
FOUR NEW ITEMS were added today. Four of the five items are new T-Shirts, bearing some simple logos and designs I came up with. They are:
Spiders Like Dark Place fitted T-Shirt
Fright University Ash Grey T-Shirt
Fright University Baseball Jersey
Mad Science Snot Green T-Shirt
On top of that, I re-designed (and re-priced) the buttons I was selling in the store. The Haunter's Union 2.25" Buttons are now more legible and print out better and you can also buy them at a discount in quantities of 10.
I eliminated the small 1" Haunter's Union buttons and replaced them with a simple black button with a skull and crossbones on it. The Skull & Crossbones 1" Buttons are also re-priced and are available in quantities of 10 for a slight discount as well.
Hope you guys like the new stuff. Be sure to check it all out and remember, all proceeds from purchases go to maintaining this site. Thanks for looking. :D

I just found out today that they have HUGE discounts for shop owners on orders of 15 or more of the same item, even if it's all different sizes. I wish I'd known that before! Yikes.

My wife and I did a dumb thing with the roof. She insisted on fixing the walls inside first. I tried to reason with her to fix the underlying problem first, but sometimes the women just win out. So, we fixed the inside walls.
So far, the walls are doing ok. Of course, it's also not 28 degrees out with a huge ice damn around my window forcing the water inside.. I do have some heating strips to use now, so maybe those will stop the problem this time around.
Also, the shed was delivered today! There's another 3k down the hole. lol
Shirts here! Get your shirts here! Get 'em while they're hot, get 'em while they're shirts! :p

I had alot of people asking me about the buttons at Ironstock. They really like the union 666 buttons so don't get rid of them. The lady selling tickets ask me about them when she saw the two I had on my chest. I told her FE has them. She ran like a bat out of hell to see FE. Then DragonLady Sue ask me about them because she like it too. But I had to give her one of mine. That sucks. Buy your own buttons people. I don't get discount you know. LOL.

I knew those buttons were a cool idea. I just wish there was a way I could promote them without seeming like a spammer. Argh. :googly:

Haha. Looks like the haunter's network has decided to copy my BBQ apron:

Be sure you buy the [url=http://www.cafepress.com/hauntforum.60908517]original from my shop[url]. Doesn't take long for copycats to get out there, does it?

Oops. I confused Haunter's Hangout with Haunter's Network. It would be the network that stole the idea. d'oh! I'm such an idiot.

I talked this over with him. Apparently, he doesn't run the store, one of his moderators does. And according to her, the item has been up there for well over a year. Not sure I buy that or not as I did a pretty extensive search on both cafepress and google when I came up with the idea and I came up with zero results for such an item.

I assured Zombie-F that we wouldn't have done something as such.
The cafepress store that lists HN items has been up for quite some time. If you thread search, you will see when everything was discussed and when the stores were launched.
I actually shut down the one I had because the images didn't turn out well on the finished product. It's a pixel thing if you know what I mean.
One of my members put together her own store and since the whole thing was nothing but grief and aggravation for her, I told her that it was hers and did not want any proceeds.
I emailed her the moment that Zombie sent me the email and questioned the apron.
She indicated that she coined the term over a year ago, being that it's a cliche to say kiss the cook.
Being that I'm really not one to steal ideas and I would rather not have something rather than stealing it, I did feel considerably bad when I got Zombie's email and advised the member that deleting the item might be a good idea.
She swore up and down that this was merely a coincidence.
If it were up to me, I would have just deleted the item out of good faith, but the decision isn't mine. I advised Zombie that if he had any questions, that he could PM her on my site, this way the two of them could compare notes.
If there's any doubt in anyone's mind, I have no doubt that the threads on my forum would show how long the store's been up and there may be some way of looking for upload dates.
The whole thing was a surprise to me, I've spent the last few months working about 80 hours week, 7 days a week and forgot that I even had a website :)
So again, Zombie, my sincere apologies for the entire thing. If I did something as such, I'd fess up to it and correct the situation.
With the near launch of two other major websites, the last thing I'd ever need is bad press, especially over something like an apron.

I'd love to, time just isn't in my corner these days.
I haven't been active anywhere recently. You know how it goes, all work and no play.
Nice thing is..............sold my house, paid off 90k of debt, moved into somewhere more affordable, and still working on my little projects on the side.
Hopefully the dust will settle closer to Halloween and I'll have more time on my hands.
The 80 hour work week is rough, but I like to keep busy.

I had seen your post a month ago or so.
Glad things are working out.
Are you almost ready to launch your secret?

Yessir.
I've changed software about 10 times, either stuff costs too much, or in one case, I had a horrible experience with customer service.
With one in particular, I think that the representitive worked out of his house (consuming some alcohol) answered the phone and thought it was a joke or something.
I wasn't too thrilled and it cost him a few hundred bucks. I made sure to point that out.
Hosting was another horrible experience. I almost went with a package that had half of the space another one I went with. It cost twice as much too.
I'm sure most of you know how that is.
The decision to boldly invest in an internet business has been a scary one. Financially and mentally.
Hopefully when the concepts are unleashed a few people will see the potential and run with me on it.
For the most part, I'm very pleased with the internet and all the Halloween sites out there, tons of resources and wonderful management.
I'll be selling a few items at first, then I'll throw up some more stuff as time goes on. In about 5 years, I hope to have a really nice inventory, of course providing stuff to the Halloween folks without the financial burdon.
I for one HATE paying a ton of money for something worth about 60% less than I payed for it.
With the stack of wholesale resources I have, I kicked myself for buying most of what I bought. I'd rather give people more for their money so they can enjoy their holiday a little bit more.
Other than that, time will tell. I'm sure I'll have stuff online shortly, I wanted to do it right and as they say haste makes waste. It was a 3 year plan, 3 years of thought and will probably be many years of aggravation to come :)

They have been selling Kiss The Corpse bbq aprons at a local store in the summer off and on for a few years. They sometimes come in block letters and sometimes in drippy blood kind.

Well, if it's based on "Kiss the cook", I suppose there could also be a variant that says "Kiss the Spook" :)
