I have been designing all of my new tombstones at work, and I just printed off my obelisk to the actual size, and it may seem a little too big. It looked good on the program, but I am having debates now. I wanted my tombstones a little bigger than normal, but I think I may have over done it. I am looking for the sizes of what you made yours. here is a picture of what mine looks like next to a 5' 10" guy.

Mine is about 4' tall. Wooden frame inside, white foam outside.

I would suggest going out to your local grave yard and take a look at whats there. Sizes vary as well as shape. I wont stress to much about it and just go ahead and make them the way you want to.
I make my stones out of 2 inch styrofoam. I cut a 4 x 8 sheet into 4) 2 x 4 pieces. My standard size stones are 2 x 2 , larger ones are made out of the 2 x 4 size pieces. I do it that way because it wastes less foam. But thats just the way I did it.

They do make them all different sizes. I have seen them as small as 2 ft. Then as tall as 8 ft. So what ever you feel comfortable with. If you need to hide stuff this should give you some room.

U here in the Northeast, I have seen tombstones VERY small..not much bigger than a sheet of paper. And yes- they were full tombstones..modest rectangular ones, not obelisks or anything. Those r the ones I keep trying to convince huby we can just "borrow" for 2 weeks from the cemetery...
