this is a video of the prop in action

Here is my entry for the $20 prop off. This prop moves as the gears rotate and the snowflakes rotate

the supplies i used
1 can- fake snow used 1/2 the can - can was $1.00 after xmas sales so 1/2 can = .50
Capsella- this is a motorised toy from the eighties I found at a thrift store it has motorised parts, lights,wheels ,fans and gears -thrift store = 5.99
1/2 a bag af hair curlers, they were used to make the holders and makeshift electrodes and for holding the skelly tubes from the thrift store bag was $3.00= $1.50
Hot glue sticks -dollar store had 20 per bag used 10 = .50
bag of christmas holly and ornaments, the holly was glued to dollar store skulls and hot glue was dripped onto it to make the skull appear frozen and corpsed = .79
childrens radio- used for the front controlling mechanism = 4.99
Dollar store skulls-2each = $2.00
Childrens toy scafolding pieces = .50
free items
containers from pretzels- recycle
coca-cola bottle tray - recycle

breakdown of cost
fake snow- .50
hot glue .50
capsella (thrift) 5.99

wow what a great Rube Goldberg type contraption! The kids will watch that for hours - I have also noticed the subliminal message that you added into the spinning snowflake (bring me all of mommy and daddy's money so that I can pay for the mortgage) LOL :devil:

Forget the kids. My husband would have a blast with that thing...he's such a kid...lol. Looks good.

The cold is a primal fear, not just a discomfort. You built a machine that subtly disguises, yet showcases this, in a fun way. That is both messed up & cool, I like it!

Wow I saw this this and thought, you must be the Grinch! What a cool gadget, I have lots of Grinch stuff from the movie, and I would have thought this came right from the set. Everyone will have fun with this.

I 'm glad to see Canada finally came in to the 80"s LOL seriously great prop I never kney you could do so much for 20 bucks and have very cool things to show for it!!!

All the moving parts are really great! Makes me think of Mr Freeze from Batman!
I had enough trouble getting one small thing to move on my prop and you've got like 12 things goin on there!:jol:
Nice job with the frost too- looks like it's too cold to touch!
