Ahhh - my first prop contest ever!! Good Times, Good Times!

I started with an empty Card Board Box and created my prop entry using the tools and material shown below...

May I present my first prop contest submission:

I used lots of white highligthing so that this prop would pop when viewed under Halloween lighting!

Basically cut up the top & bottom of the box and then taped it all back together in its new shape making sure to create little window-pane-cracks with the tape. Added reflective tin foil inside to bounce the red LED light back out through the cracks. Installed the LED lights. Gave the whole thing a quick "snot rag mache" skinning. Painted and detailed with black & white craft paints and there you have it - I think a pretty respectable first time prop entry for less than $8!

Wow Screaming Scarecrow very nice job! You could never tell that is cardboard in the dark and the red lights really give it a nice effect. Also it is a great having it so light weight because you can hang it anywhere. Cool looking and the cost is great! Very Nice!!!!

To the comments about weight - yes this thing is super lightweigth. I'd be suprised if its 2lbs... (guess)

That's a great idea! Instead of trying to figure out waterproofing for card board maybe start with waterproof material - wood or plastic?

Hey jaybo you could use coroplast basically the plastic version of cardboard and then it would be weather proof that and giving the snot rag some extra help after the snot rag coat it in a latex house paint a couple times and it would last through weather
