Possessed TV- for $13!

I've read some really neat ideas here with tv channels switching and doing so at seemingly random times for the haunt.

Someone has come out now with a cheap way to annoy your friends using a cool gadget that may lead the way to poltergeist tvs for us.

5 minutes is an awfully long time to wait though. I'm guessing this could be easily hacked for constant switching- maybe even using a pentameter for an adjustable delay. (?)

What do you think Otaku or anyone else who is into electronics- can this be hacked for those of us who use tvs in haunts?

Might be easier to hack a universal remote to constantly turn off and on and set the delay timer on the IR led power. it other words the same way we do it with the speakers and a constantly playing MP3 player but instead of the speakers we are switching on and off it is the IR leds of the remote control that will be switched on and off. BTW this may shorten the life of the TV.
