I want to recreate the singing busts from the Haunted Mansion. I'm trying to keep the display true to the original, but I can't remember if the busts sit on individual pedistals or on a brick wall. In the movie they sit on pedistals, but I'm not sure if it's the same on the ride. I looked at doombuggies.com and couldn't find any pics and the YouTube videos just show the busts and not really a clear shot of what they are mounted on. A wall of some sort would be cheaper and easier to build because I already have most of the materials, but I don't know if that would ruin the effect because I'm going to have them inside a cemetary fence in my front yard. I didn't know if a wall inside a fence would look out of place. Can someone help me out? Thanks:xbones:

Pedestals can be cheap to build using sonotubes (concrete forms) and ridged foam boards. You can get everything you need at one store (Home Depot, Lowes, etc...).

Perfect! I live about 500 yards from a Lowe's. Thanks for the help

Here's another thought... I'm planning to build a simple garden bench made from rigid foam insulation, something along the lines of these:

1490

1491

Solves the need for 4 seperate pedestals.
