The latest old tv show to be optioned by a film studio?

Knight Rider.

Yes, you read that right. Knight Rider.

But, you know, I think this is one tv show that really could work as a film. It would have to be better than pretty much every other tv show inpsired film.

Someday we'll get that AIRWOLF flick. Then Street Hawk. Life will be complete then.:D

Personally, I would like to see a REAL big screen adaptation of Battlestar Galactica. To hell with that saccharine version crap they have on the equally crappy Sci-Fi Channel. :rolleyes:

I watched one episode of the new one. I guess that sums up my feelings for it.
Honestly, I am not a fan of the original show, either. I mean, the models were awesome, cause it was the ILM guys, and the Cylons and of course, Starbuck kicked ass, but, I'd rather just watch Star Wars.

I'm sorry but Battlestar Galatica is the only good show really thats on TV, I still do watch family guy but really those two shows... that being said, a movie on the BIG screen just woun't really grab me, I'd see it, but wouldn't grab me.

I got hooked on the new Battlestar Galactica. It's actually very well made.

If your a fanboy/girl of the first one then you should do wat I do... just pretend its a diffrent series...

As for movies about TV I'd still rather see a A-team movie then anything else.

First of all, I am not a fanboy. Second, I have no problem with remakes as long as they're warranted and actually improve on an old idea rather than make you think throughout it's run that they've absolutely ruined another good thing on this spinning mudball in space.

Battlestar Galactica didn't need to be remade. There just needs to be someone out there with a goddamn backbone that's not afraid to step up to the plate and create something that's original. Riding the coattails of another successful series isn't a good idea at all. That's a cause for hobbling in many countries and should be in this one.

Galatica wasn't warented really but it is a completly diffrent story and I rather do like it, I am a fan of the original too. Like I said, try and look at it as Galatica in name only.

But on the subject TV shows that were movies look at a classic example, Police Squad was a TV show first and then the three naked gun movies.

Police Squad! was far better than any of the Naked Gun films.
