With Ironstock looming before us, it is time to finalize a few plans. Right now we are working on the reservations for Friday night’s haunted house tour to Slaughter on Second Street in Owensboro, Kentucky. I need to get a count on all of you that plan on attending this activity, and how many plan on taking a seat on the charter bus. I know that many of you drive your own vehicles, but we need confirmation of at least 56 folks signed up for the bus to make the reservation.
The haunt tour will include a fully operational walk through just as it would be on Halloween night. And afterward, as a special treat just for Ironstockers, you will get an inside look of the inner workings and layout with a ‘lights on, behind the scenes’ exploration of the house. Cost of the tour is $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for kids under 12. And just for fun, we will have a special ticket drawing during the tour and one or two lucky winners will go home with a special little something as a souvenir of this frightful evening.
If you need a ride, the chartered bus will depart from the Ramada Inn parking lot at 7:00 P.M. for the haunt. The price for the bus trip is $12.00 per person. This is providing that enough of you contact me as soon as possible to let me know that you will be partaking. As stated above, we need at least 56 confirmed reservations for the bus before we can book it. I think that those who elected to take the bus last year can attest that it was a ‘party’ ride to and from, so don’t be shy.
NOTE: Due to some unfortunate puter/server problems over the past couple of weeks, some of our previous e-mails were lost in cyber space, so even if you have contacted me before about bus seating, please do so again so we have an accurate count.
