Tree of souls

This is a project I wanted to do last year but never got around to. I'm making these faces from the styrofoam wig heads with the plastic face covers. I'm latexing over these and then pulling them from the originals. These will be mounted all over the trees in the cemetary in the front yard and will be stained to match the tree trunk. So far I'm pretty happy with the way they are coming out. I hung one on the tree in the daytime and watched my neighbors do a double take seeing it hanging there, and that's before it gets stained and it wasnt even dark yet. It's way to easy to shock the people around here.....they are such babies. LOL

Sorry, the name of the album didn't show up and I can't figure out how to add it but it's the one with the mannequin head as the first pic.

I kind of reminds me of the statue in the movie "Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth". Maybe you could add a few arms and legs for effect.

trishaanne, I really like your idea! I have several pulls off the front of skulls leftover from making my tombstone. I think I'm gonna have to 'borrow' you're idea, water proof and paint these things so the skulls look like they are pushing out of trees also.

I don't know how you would do it with latex, but if you could somehow make it so the skin was peeling off slightly in chunks about the size of the bark that is peeling off the tree, that would be awesome.
