I'm currently engaged in Phase II... getting the chat room up and running again. I should be done with this before 8:00 PM (EDT) tonight. I will reply to this thread once I am done.

Again, DO NOT POST CHAT PROBLEMS TO THIS THREAD. Please use the Comments and Feedback Forum and start a new thread describing your problem. Thank you.

Ok, Graveyard Chat is now up and running! Woot!

Next up is Phase III... which is to whip up a new style for the forums and update the header graphic. This step will probably take a few evenings to complete and the forums will look pretty weird until I'm done. :p

I've actually re-considered doing a new look. I will eventually do it, but the current style is only a month or two old and I would like to get a little more mileage out of it before I abandon it on the side of the road.

Everything looks great Z i was a little lost for a few days there lol missed the post about moving :P oh well im here now and I love it!

Well, it is mostly seamless. There are a few hiccoughs here and there, but it's basically all good. :D

Sweet, I'm glad you got a new domain name for the forums. It looks like your forums are taking on a life of their own! :)

Much more than basically good! :D I second the "Great Job". This forum just keeps getting better and better. Z, thanks for providing such a terrific spot on the web. And keep the look for a while...it's definitely not "tired" yet.

Hey Z,

One thing you might want to consider is creating a different redirect for the old URL
http://www.unpleasantstreet.com/forums/index.php

I know had it bookmarked and it now generates a 404 with a delayed redirect to your main home page. If you were to redirect to the new hauntforum.com site instead, folks will be less likely to get lost on the way to this great resource.

That's a good point. At first I thought the forums were gone or something. A simple http-redirect from a new index.php script would be pretty simple.

But that url for the forum changed ages ago! About a year and a half a go the url to the forums changed to http://forums.unpleasantstreet.com.

I'll put a page there as well just to make sure everyone that didn't update their bookmarks waaaaay back when finds the new site as well.

:D Sorry about that Zombie-F. I guess I never updated. I just clicked the old bookmark. Thanks for helping out the slackers like me.

S'ok. I put a re-direct in ALL the places that I could think of so now there won't be any stragglers or any confusion.

Heh, I hadn't noticed we weren't talking about the same URL... I was still going to forums.unplaesantstreet.com, but it forwarded to the main page too when I first noticed the changes.

Ok, I see then. Your bookmark must have pointed specifically to the index.php file. If you had just pointed it to the url, it would have re-directed you. In any event, it's all taken care of now. :D
