If you are looking for real pumpkins and have an Aldis near you, check them
out. In the Chicagloand area, they have large pumpkins on sale for $1.99 each.
Picked up 50 of them today.

Last year it was hard to find pumpkins due to the bad growing season. This year EVERY body has pumpkins. Two bucks is the going rate around here.

Due to our yard haunt, every year we have a large group of family and friends hanging out at the house on Halloween. We have a big pumpkin carving get-together on the drive as Trick-Or-Treating starts until dark. People are always amazed as we use power tools to carve.

Real pumpkins are are between $3-$5 per pumpkin in S. Florida right now. I wish I could be back in Michigan in the fall.... not just for the pumpkins of course, also the fall color, orchards, hayrides, etc. sigh..... I'm holding off buying any until week of Halloween so they won't rot in the heat.

I was grocery shopping at Aldi last week and saw the $1.99 pumpkins and went back inside after I was done foodshopping and filled the buggy up, 11 of them - they had two pallets with about 1/3 remaining in each. The lady at the checkout said I was lucky I did that because they next day the manager said they were going to limit the pumpkins per customer because they only had one pallet of them left

oh, and yes, I said buggy. here in the south (mid south) they say buggy. it's a shopping car, or grocery cart, I know... but they say buggy and I've been assimilated.
