Here is a howto that shows how to make stone plaques that have skull faces pushing out of them. These are the techniques I used for building my entry in the tombstone contest. Please ask about anything that is not clear and I will try to fix it. Enjoy!

fangs one thing i have found out about mache is to keep a cool head no matter what.....and night time mache works best ......i need no distractions when im working with mache........part that annoys me most is i get that stuff stuck everywhere ...wake up next morning look in mirror have stuck in hair on face arms hands ....lol

Wait- that's just a TWO-FER... You get mache done AND you get costumed at the same time! :D

Great how-to, just when I really needed it. I have started a few mache props and they turn to crap fast. I just hope with time I can get this art down since you guys/gals have shown me the great things that can be created.

Totally...he maxed out the tubular dry brush wave and i was like "whoa!" and he was all "I can TOTALLY dry brush dude", and it was like totally awesome!:smoking:

Thanks for all the info and the links. That was one of the best how-tos that I have seen, very good presentaion both written and photos. You get a gold star for that one.

Thanks everyone, if you would have told me back in elementary school that I would be building stuff like this with paper mache, and painting with sponges, I would have laughed at you.
Thanks DT, but I have to tell ya, it is dry sponging, not brushing. And its fast, and easy, I really encourage everyone to try it. I think I spent 30 minutes total painting once I starting on the gray. And sorry, I don't quite understand California speak.:D
