Just checking to see if anyone else isn't getting their PM notifications? Haven't received any since Friday night.

I just sent you a test message to see if there's still an issue. It might be related to the suspension of the account while ZombieF was cleaning out that malware.

Well, no email notification about a new PM or email about this being a new post to a subscribed thread.

I am sure it has something to do with what happened over the weekend, but I still wanted to mention it in case nobody else did.

Just fixed it. When I changed the passwords after the malware was detected, I forgot to change the password in the software that sends e-mails. It should work as normal again.

I was wondering if this hasn't been fixed for some folks.

I have never received any PMs or notifications when there has been an update to a thread. I checked and I have it selected to notify me of both but I have never received any.

I get notifications but not for every post.
Could your email provider be flagging the emails/PMs as spam?

I haven't had problems and haven't heard of others having problems (at this time).

I would be willing to bet some of it is being flagged as spam. Check your spam box and to avoid having things dumped there add hauntfor@hauntforum.com and webmaster@hauntforum.com
(webmaster@hauntforum.com) to your address book.

The email address I am using doesn't have a spam filter to it.

Almost all email services have spam filtering, whether you know it or not. Some of them even just delete the message and it doesn't even go into a spam box.

Who is your email provider? I can dig into this some more if I can get a little info on them.

My email provider is Earthlink. The weird thing is I have a few other forum notifications going to the exact same email address and I get those just fine. I just turned off the email notifications. I figure I'll wait a day and turn them back on to see if that fixes it. It can't hurt since I'm not getting notifications anyway.

I noticed recently that my options were set to receive email notifications of friend requests, but that's never happened. I just unchecked it since it's not a big deal, but thought I would mention it here.

For some reason or other, our forum (even though we have never ever sent spam messages to unwilling recipients) seems to be on some spam lists.

In other cases, like RoxyBlue's, the friend request e-mails don't seem to make it while others do.

I switched email accounts and it looks like Earthlink has a problem with hauntforum emails. Hopefully adding hauntforum to my email contacts will end that problem.
