Lucite rod/tube?

I'm looking for a length of lucite rod (3/4" diameter?) and I'm not sure where to find it. With this, if I attach a light to one end it will glow through the rod and then kind of shine out the end. There is a prop idea I have for this, but I need to find the lucite first. I tried HD, but the guy looked at me like I was crazy. Crazier than the looks I got the day I told the cashier I was buying wood to make a coffin :-)

LOL I had the same looks yesterday and my hubby tried to hide on me. I went to HD and was looking for ABS to make my witch body and the guys asked why I needed the ABS so I told him.... Whatever - to each his own eh!. Anyway sorry, dont know where you could find it. did you check the internet to see the "types" of places that would carry it and go from there?
