Tournament de Tombstone Winners!

I've gone through and checked all the voting to make sure all the voters stuck with the guidelines. All the voting was done correctly, so here's our top three entries:

First Place: The entry with the most votes goes to heresjohnny (http://www.hauntforum.com/member.php?u=310) and his unique take on the classic "Vacancy" tombstone (http://www.johnnyspage.com/images/tombstoneNightb.jpg).
Second Place: The number two spot, is awarded to Dr Morbius (http://www.hauntforum.com/member.php?u=55) and his spooky HP Lovecraft stone (http://f5.putfile.com/6/16118174839.jpg).
Third Place: Rounding out the hotly contested third place tombstone entry is krough (http://www.hauntforum.com/member.php?u=61)'s coin toss win with his Mr. Thrifty stone (http://www.grimvisions.com/images/tombstone/tombstone%20077-sm.jpg).

Thanks to everyone who entered. ALL of the tombstones presented were top-notch. Everybody should pat themselves on the back for a job well done.

Well, you should be able to as long as I can get someone else to donate a prize. I think Monster Guts said he'd put one up for the next contest, and there is enough $$ in the coffers for me to put up another t-shirt this time around.

That just leaves me to find another prize to round out 3 places. :D

That was a hard one to choose only three.

I never got my stone finished. Everytime I painted it I wasn't satisfied with it, so after several repaints and a ton of none stop rainy days, I just never finished it. I'm still working on the paint job and will post pics once it is done.

Congrats to all the winners, great effort on everyone's part. But in my professional opinion from a Designer's, Art Director's, and Decorator's point of view, the Tomb Stone made by Dr.Morbius is vastly superior then the 1st place stone.

I am truly surprised by the result and I can't help but think the winner was determined more so by the number of friends or IP addresses one has vs. artistic merit - LOL!

While I thank you SpookyDude for your high praise, I doubt seriously the contest was fixed in anyway. Opinions are very subjective. Plus, I don't think I have any enemies on this site that would sway any votes away from my stone. HJ did a great job, and deserved to win. I could've painted my stone better, but ran out of funds, because I chose textured paint, which gave it a monotone finish, and my camera just doesn't take good night shots, so my lighting lacked as well. All of which contributed to the outcome, in my opinion.
