Since I live in the deep south and don't have access to a Menards I was wondering how much the skeletons at Menards cost during the Halloween season ? The ones I have seen on some other props seem to be flexible not like the plastic blucky Skeletons that Big Lots sell etc. I need one or two for my pnuematic props since they are much lighter than the Bucky from ACC and seem to hold up better than the plastic Blucky. Can I order from them on-line somehow when they get them in this year ? Does any one know if they are available anywhere else ? I have not ever seen them here at any of the stores.

i live in Iowa and i havent seen any large skeletons at my menards. They dont have an online ordering system, but you can call and ask for specific things...hope that helped. If i find one ill let ya know.

According to the Halloween-L List Menards has them when the Halloween stuff comes in during the fall season. I checked the archives and several threads exist about these skeletons.

I bought one these earlier this year skeletons (http://seasonalreflections.com/holiday_decorations/product.php?productid=2262) earlier this year from Seasonal Reflections. The pic makes it look more cartoonish than it actually is. It was pretty close to those in Menards(I don't have one near me either) and was $50 w/ delivery. That was shipped from California to NY and after just double checking the site, shipping went up about four bucks. I you live in CA. they have some great deals on there. The quality of the skelly was surprisingly pretty good.
This is the actual look of the http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a148/daboes/MVC-030F.jpg they sent. In the picture the storage cabinet he's hanging on is 6' tall so flat footed he'd be about 5'6" and still fairly heavy for hard foam

If the Menards skeletons are like the one Mr. Unpleasant linked to, then they have been sold at Garden Ridge as well. I think I paid $34 for the one I have.
I'm not sure how they would handle being used as part of an air prop. The foam is dense but I had to look for one that did not have broken fingers or toes. Maybe if it was corpsed real well...

That one is very similar to the skelly they sell at Menards based on a conversation with a member of HalloweenF. Sadly there are no Garden Ridge's around here either, so I gotta take it in the A@# on shipping to get one. But I needed one for something I have planned and most websites had this listed at $75. Anyway, bourno from HalloweenF (http://www.teambac.com/web_hall/erector.html) has used one as part of a pnuematic shown on his website named the skelerector. looks like he's using a small but fairly hefty cyclinder to swing that badboy up.

Ain't that the truth, Mr U... I've had my eye on the Seasonal Reflections skelly for a while, but just can't bring myself to pay as much to have it shipped as it costs itself. GAH!!! I know I will probably break down in the next couple of weeks and get one anyway, but I'm trying to find another alternative. I was hoping that FE would be able to get his hot hands on some.

I remember that someone had said that the tag that came from the Menard's skelly said "Pumpkin Patch" and that they had tried to find the manufacturer or distributor by using the UPC but were unsuccessful. I tried pumpkinpatch.com (http://www.pumpkinpatch.com) and it led to the Concept Marketing website that supplies the Spirit Store/Spencer's, but I saw nothing similar to these skellies.

This wholesaler was selling those skeletons in 2004. Not sure about last season and the 2006 season info is not posted yet. (currently under construction says the announcment but it seems kinda late.)

I am a big fan of the Menard ones as I replied to RU on the Hall-L list.
Here is a decent pic of them http://www.teambac.com/web_hall/skele_warriors.html
I do break the fingers off and re-work the hand instead of leaving them just flat open.
I do need to get my skelerector finished up again as I tinkering with the design. As long as the skeleton is zip-tied up well, I don't see it having problems being thrashed around some.
I was wrong earlier on the brand name, it should have been Pumpkin Hallow, but that just seems to be a name Menards chose to box these up under. The spooky town stuff they carry also uses the same name for boxing.

Well however they get them from must be the best held secret known to the Halloween Industry since nobody can dig them up anywhere. I don't live in an area with all the other stores that may carry something close so shipping it in here adds to the total cost. Thanks again for posting any info on this.
