Almighty MS seems to have decided that Windows Live Movie Maker (Windows 7) can now only create .WMV files as it's output. (Well, there are some other crap smart phone formats, but pretty much that is the choice.... no more AVI/MOV/etc)
Yes, I do think that is as stupid as you do. (All companies make the newer versions of products *less* capable than the old ones, right?)
So... I can output the highest quality version of WMV and then convert it to an AVI by loading the WMV in to Movie Maker 2 (The old one on a Windows XP machine) and then publish it as an AVI but after all that decompression/recompression it looks rough.
Any ideas/suggestions? Should I send the WMV and hope for the best?
I guess I can always re-do the whole vid from scratch with a real video editor of some kind.
I have a love/hate relationship with Microsoft. They frustrate and irritate me, but at the same time if their software didn't suck I wouldn't have a job.
This is the vid in question, if anyone is interested.
