What do you do to design the look of your eyes and mouths for props? For exammple: On a pumpkin that I'm using for a head I will be cutting out the eyes and the mouth for light to shine through. How should I design this or are there designs out there on the web?

It probably depends on what kind of look you're going for. This guy (http://kalsey.com/2005/10/jackolantern_patterns_list/) has compiled a list of pumpkin carving sites with patterns if you want to take a look for ideas.

Yeah that site has some nice ones but want you to join for the patterns, but you can still save picture and make your own pattern with them.. also google or search pumpkin carving patterns and im sure you will find what you need

Thanks everyone we will see how nicely my scarecrow head turns out. I will try to post a pic of the head sometime in the next few days.
