***Join us for a great day of learning, networking and socializing amongst the best of the best in the haunt business! More info coming as we nail it down.

There will be a potluck (like we could keep you from bringing food) and contact Allen if you have a presentation you'd like to make. Schedule will be posted soon!!***

Hey guys I normally hold two workshops a year- this is the Winter one. Not exactly a make and take but in the same vein. They are geared towards the areas pro haunts because that is my back ground. I do think home haunters will enjoy it also.
If you wish to attend then please RSVP to Stiltbeast@gmail.com. I wanted to open it up to the folks on this forum, I will post my curriculum here when it is firmed up- Im sure that Im doing an hour or an hour and a half on costume distressing. There is normally 5-6 hours of classes / presentations and then a pot luck social.
it will be held at
10840 Switzer suite #114 Dallas TX 11:00 am till 11pm
RSVP to Stiltbeast@gmail.com

Dixie and I are looking forward to the workshop. Heck, we talk more about the workshop than we do about Christmas with my parents!

$366 for airfare. I might sell a kidney for this one.

lol, there is no cost for the workshop- unless you have airfare or the pot luck dish.

Wow, To hang out with Allen, Dixie, Jaybo, and a slew of pro haunters would be SO Cool. One of these winters I'm going to take a Massive road trip. Have fun and take some pics or video.

Sounds informative. And I wouldn't incur an airfare fee. I will attend if my schedule allows.

Alrighty, I get to work something out at work. So ironic . . . only two days at work that week, and that's one of them.

Last time the fire alarms went off while a haunt was demonstrating a new fog chiller. We had to evacuate the building and wait for the fire department to show up and give the all clear. I'm sure they will have to top last time, so I expect the Dallas S.W.A.T. team to show up this time. I hope they bring the little bomb disposal robot. That thing's so cool!

Throw in some zombies, and a few camera phones, and we'd have the makings of a zombie apocalypse flick, a la cloverfield, blair witch, and 28 days! How about we all come dressed as zombies, just in case?

Any ideas on the subject for the summer workshop? A cost effective pop-up, perhaps?

Well, there were a few home haunters who were definitely showing the pros a thing or two, so it definitely pays to get ideas from every possible venue.

To reference Tim DeLaughter of the The Polyphonic Spree . . . together, we're heavy.

Incidentally, we also need to start compiling all of the great recipes we see there. That twinkie pie looked very interesting. I need to try that.

Man, I really wish I could have been there for this one. We had a family emergency literally as we were walking out the door Saturday morning. I'll be grumpy all month now. :-D

Looks like you guys had a rousing good time! Ok, sign me up for the summer workshop. I'll pitch a tent and camp out waiting for the next one.

Allen, we had the best time, and learned so much, you are my new hero. And your wife, she was so friendly. She came up and introduced herself, and made sure we knew where the food was, like anyone come have missed it. And she's so pretty, how did you score a cutie like that? You must have loads of money, that and your good looks. :D
And it is great to meet some new people from Hauntforum. Lucky that I listen into other peoples conversations, cause that's how I met Jack and Cole's Dad. He was sitting right in front of me. I missed you guys, Jaybo and Dixie. I thought something must have come up, or I knew you would have been there.
My son drove down to Dallas with me, ran some errands, then came back and sat throught some sessions. He told me he really enjoyed them.
Thanks again for all the time and effort you put into this weekend. You and your crew are the best. Oh, and by the way, where did you get that airbrush from? :D

Actually, it was more like "Love at First Fright"! I'll let Allen tell the story. Interestingly enough, it made the paper. :D
