This will be both a demonstration and a hands-on lab for prop controllers and triggers used in pneumatic props. We will demonstrate and then let members practice programming some basic routines into a prop controller like the Monster Guts Nerve Center, and others. We will show:
- how to connect the trigger device (a manual switch,pressure mat or beam breaker) to the controller
- how to connect lights and pneumatic solenoids
- how to connect AC power
- how to program the sound tracks
- how to program the lights and pneumatic solenoids to actuate on queue
This event will provide the background information for the March event, where we will build a pneumatic prop that utilizes a controller.
