View Full Version : Grimsley the Organist
Nightshade

Hi There, I feel like I've been away forever. My brother was in the hospital for 5 weeks and things were very scary there for awhile. I'm glad to report he is doing fine now. Needless to say this put a stop to my project for awhile. After working out some serious problems with the build I finally finished Grimsley last night. Thank to Brent from Devious Concoctions for all the help he supplied to me. Grimsley is now a Zombie Organist. I guess he wasn't happy being a mere skeletal organist. If you have time check it out and let me know what you think. Thanks and Happy Haunting....:jol:

Wow! Very impressive!
Is the head rocking motion on a separate motor from the arm flailing motion or is it just geared down?

DO you have a how-to that you did on your own?

Grimsley rules! That is simply an amazing job. I like the urgency of the arm motions, reminiscent of The Phantom of the Opera. Well done, Nightshade!

Thank you all for your compliments, you guys don't know what that means to me. And yes Vlad you don't want to know what the organ cost. In fact there is an ongoing issue with the organ. I will open that bag of worms when it comes to an end. All I can say for now is please be careful who you purchase things from, and make sure they are dealing with reputable dealers. This organ was suppose to be the Evil Organ prop from Scare Factory. I just found out this last week that what was shipped was something completely different. Both me and the company I purchased this from was flat out lied to by the dealer that he had purchased from. Little did I know that the company that I was purchasing through wasn't buying from Scare Factory direct. And I might add that I have no issue with Scare Factory. This has nothing to do with them. As I said when there is some kind of final outcome to this I will let you all know the gory details. We need to protect one another, and I intend to name names and call a spade a spade. Happy Haunting to everyone.
