Our haunt will be Oct 21, 22 & 23 this year. We set up at a local campground on the weekend that our kids are off for fall break. The forcast is calling for a little rain one day but the main day is supposed to be clear.....Hea baby

I have one more weekend to "tweek" my coffin and mailbox. I got 6 wireless radios on ebay for $10 and I'm implementing them into our props. I have two props that we use to talk to the kids and have used industrial Motorola radios in the past but now I have these 5 channel radios that I can have each prop on a different channel and switch my main on to whichever prop I want to talk through.
I corpsified my plastic Blucky that is in my coffin and now he looks really good not fake.

Cross your fingers and give us a big halloween HOWL as we entertain the kids.

Congrats on getting set up, and good luck! Be sure to share photos and experiences with us here. Can't wait to see your stuff in action. Are you going to be submitting a video to the Halloween-L video this year?

Oh... My... God... You HAVE to get/submit to the Halloween-L video. I'll assume you don't know what the Halloween-L is...

The Halloween-L is a mass-email list that works alot like a message board, but its all delivered to your inbox. There's LOTS of propbuilding enthusiasts that participate, so basically any question you could ever dream up can be answered by somebody. Here's the URL for that (with a link to subscription info therein): http://www.wildrice.com/Halloween-l/

Ok, so every year members (and even non-members) submit video of their setup to a person on the list that is compiling a set of DVDs to sell to listmembers (for absolutely NO profit). In January, the compilation is usually ready, and the DVD set is mailed out to anyone purchasing it (last year's was 3 DVDs, over 7 hours long, and only cost $16). Later, around March or so, there is voting on the various categories (like Rookie Haunt, Yard Haunt, Home Haunt, Party, etc) for who's stuff is best, and awards are given (if any were donated).

It's pretty kick ass, because you get to see what all your peers are up to, and get ideas from them. It's a great way to share and see props in action that you've otherwise only seen photos of.
