Original Halloween Haikus

[The Mortician]

For those not in the know - a haiku uses three lines of no more than 17 syllables in total

I see the 5 syllable / 7 syllable / 5 syllable variety the most often

Here is my sad attempt to get the ball rolling -

The church bridge ahead
Black steed and death close behind
Shattered pumpkin; end

Vampire bats fly
Dark fluttering death above
Against the wan moon

[Spooklights]

Ghosts in the graveyard;
Tombs pale white in the moonlight
Are empty tonight.

Graveyard is empty tonight
The earths end is here

People hide behind closed doors
Fearfull of the hunger

blood sprays red and wet

no more flesh to be eaten
soon all will be dust

Soon it is Hyde's time

Spirits at midnight
The Swami conjures them
