If anyone ever needs ideas for props to build, or just likes to check out what some people do to their yards and homes for Halloween, I strongly urge you to pick up a copy of the Halloween-L/Howl2000 DVDs. It's a 3-disc set containing videos of home haunts, still shots, walkthroughs and a few behind-the-scenes clips.
It's $15 for the 3-disc set, which is pretty fair considering how much footage is available. My only gripe with it, is it doesn't come in any cases, so you have to buy your own. You can print out a few different covers from their site to use when you do get cases for the set.
