This was made from a standard pattern for a dog's hooded coat. I added the ears.

If you don't have a willing family pet of the canine variety, you could also use a Christmas reindeer, courtesy of Curby's - cost also free.

Faux Fur 1 yard 60" bolt (clearance JoAnn Fabrics) $2.50
Velcro 26": 2.00
Pattern (sale at Hobby Lobby) .99Thread: .50
Use of Family Pet:Free

Total $5.99

P.S. Thanks Pyro for encouraging me to do this!!

Thanks everybody!!!! The picture still cracks me up!!!!!

Thats funny MW,by the way I called PETA.:p;)

You can call them back, Rich...

You see, the dog is very happy with her new role. She said that while she loves being the family pet and thoroughly enjoys playing fetch, rolling over and catching frisbees, she's needed more in her life. This has given her a new sense of purpose.

The look on her face... shes like... are you done yet... It reminds me of "the Christmas story" when Ralphie has to try on the bunny suit LOL

Looks great Wicked. I tried to make my dog a hell hound but some how a Lapso can't pull that off. She's a black spider now and she hates it.

ROFLMAO!
Mr. Wicked, "He looks like a deranged hell hound"
Mrs. Wicked, "He does not"
Mr. Wicked, "He does too. He looks like a red furry nightmare"

LOL! Very nice...Sewing is very overlooked as a prop making skill. I'm glad you could represent.

Nice job, but I am going to have to call the St. Charles’ humane society on this one. I don’t think I could have got my chocolate lab to stand that still for that long. She would have eaten it.

Hee hee - thanks so much everybody.

This was incredibly fun and Dr. M I agree: sewing is indeed an important part of prop making - it really makes a difference to the appearance and end result of a project.
