Mr. Hemlock Dench.
He is my cemetery caretaker.
He is a knavish, creepy little man.
Bow-legged and hunch-backed, he grins fiendishly out into the darkness at passers by....

Oh WOW. Thank you all so much. :)
It was very fun making Mr. Dench.
After reading zombie-f's comment about almost not accepting until he saw how it was made, I am glad I added the pictures!
I think my new neighbor thinks me insane, she came outside the other night to use her hot-tub, and saw me with Hemlock outside positioning lights and snapping pics in the dark. She didnt say anything... but I got that confused look before she turned away. haha.
Anyway....
Thank you again everyone for the very kind words.

 WOW. Thank You so much everyone.
yeah, IshWitch, I have a habit of hanging onto and aquiring anything that might be 'prop-able ' in the future. And yes, I shamefully had to spend a buck on shoes. I was shocked. haha. Oh well. I had to do it, or he'd of had no shoes at all for deadline day. :D
Thank you everyone for the many kind words... and the random, funny -you suck- comments. :D haha

Does anyone have an account at afterlife forums?
http://halloweennation.com/showthread.php?postid=17614#post17614
Seems like they have Me and Deadspider confoosed. LOL
If you do have an account there please be nice and correct them nicely.
Dr Morbius
04-07-2007, 01:56 PM
Hmm I wonder why they pulled registration? Sorry, DS. Didn't meant to hijack this thread. You should be given credit where it's due. I think people may be confused because Krough's and DS's website look so similar. Is that a different Vlad who runs it from our own Vlad?

Oh. yes, they do seem confused. - but atleast this time my work isnt being outright stolen.
I tried to get an account but it seems they have closed membership.
I would like to be able to politely correct them.
Is anyone a member there that could help out?
I would like very much to be able to let them know krough and I are two different people... and .. umm that I am a girl not a guy.. haha :D
Ghostess
04-07-2007, 03:06 PM
I have an account there, just made it 5 minutes ago. I corrected them on the fact that you're a woman and that Kurt/Krough is someone else entirely with a totally different website.

I realize I'm late posting here, but I HAD to say something..........DS this piece is fantastic! Makes me wish I was in Van just to pop by and see him in person. How do you deal with the moisture on the west coast and your mache?
DeadSpider
01-11-2008, 03:40 AM
Thank you for the kind words everyone. Sorry I didnt realize there were new posts in here .. well, i shouldn't say new, some are from last year (oops) but better late than never. Thank you.
Undeadvoodoomonkey - lol moisture.. such a nice way to describe non stop day after day rain we can get in the pacific northwest.
I actually haven't had issues with moisture seeping into/ruining mache. Mr. Dench has spar varnish under his paint. He was out in the rain a few times and has suffered no ill effects. :)
