View Full Version : Latex Sale
Hi all, Here is an Ebay link to the latex that we use for our corpsing etc.. Cementex sells this stuff online at their site, but for us the shipping was cheaper through this ebay auction. It's $15 a gallon plus shipping. Only once did we find a tiny lump of hardened latex in one of the gallons we bought, otherwise it's been like new. Others we've recommended it to have also said it's awesome stuff. They have 42 tubs left, there were 43 but I just bought another, lol. If you're interested check it out........................Vlad ..........>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I had forgotten about Cementex selling expired latex, thanks for the reminder!
On a side note, Black Cat had to talk to the manager of Cementex today because of a snarl in the Pay Pal account, and he was surprised to hear that the very unexpected leap in sales that auction brought in was due to haunters. Black Cat had to explain to him what we were all doing with this stuff, and he was glad to hear that we were happy with the product. He assures us it will be available all year round, and that they don't tamper with the latex other than to take off the good label and put on one that says expired. He also says that the expired latex isn't far removed from the first quality product because of constant rotation of stock. A secondary reminder to everyone, is to order before cold weather, because latex is ruined when exposed to freezing temperatures, and they won't ship it when it's freezing outside.

Now there are only 7 left after my order. Thanks for the letting us know!
I'm going to be in deep s--t with the Halloween community from coast to coast if people don't like this stuff as much as I do, lol.

Woo hoo, I got my gallon yesterday! I haven't had a chance to open it yet but I'll give you my opinion today when I try it out.
We received ours also, and it's damn near over-filled. The quality is just as good as always. My reputation remains unsullied, for the most part..........hehehe

Someday I'd like to learn how to make molds. I'll have to remember about buying expired latex when I do.
First off, a shameless self promotion, I'm Terror On Beechwood here>>>>>>

Secondly, the latex we're talking about is not molding latex. It's for use in corpsing etc.

I finally got around to opening the latex yesterday and wow...it's really nice. I wasn't expecting it to be such good quality stuff. It's nice and thick AND my bucket was filled to the brim! I'm glad I broke down and bought a gallon. I think I'll be using this instead of the pricey Mold Builder (except for molds) from now on.

My gallon was sitting on my front porch when I got back from vacation yesterday. Nice stuff. I paid $13 for a pint both last year and the year before. This "expired" stuff is just as good. Thanks again Vlad for pointing the way. Cementex must be thrilled at being able to get rid of their old product so easily.
