View Full Version : Meaning of "Banned" under avatars

I searched but couldn't find the answer. I've seen "Banned" next to a few avatars in posts. Does that mean those members truly are "Banned" from posting for one reason or another? Or is it another Halloween-ish classification like "Desensitized" based on number of posts? It looks like it's the former.

Yes, it means they are banned. All issues of that sort are kept private between the forum's operators and the party involved. Only in the case that the other person starts publicly slinging mud will the operators of HauntForum ever reveal details behind our move to ban a person. Even then, there has to be some pretty sever circumstances for us to reveal any details.

That makes sense. It was a little confusing because the word "Banned" shows up where the fun classifications are. I guess that's the easiest best place to put it though. I saw a couple members that didn't have too many posts. But then recently one who had a lot more that said "Banned". There's so many members I don't recognize some people's ID's even when they have a lot of posts logged. That's why I wondered what it really meant. Thanks for the clarification.
