Feeling like you need a new cape?
Are your monsters and props not dressed as well as they could be?
If you want to learn how to sew up a basic Cape, Tunic or Cloak, the Chicagoland Make and Take is holding a sewing clinic.
Join us on Saturday, September 15 at 10:30 a.m. It will be at my house again. I'll provide food and drink for everybody.
Let me know if you want to attend. Everybody will need to bring your own fabric. PM me if you have any questions or if you need suggestions for a basic pattern and necessary fabric yardage.
Death Touch has an idea for a costume already!! We hope to see some of you here!

Wish I could make it. I'd love to learn to read a pattern. Maybe next summer!
By all means Trish, learn to read, lol.

Oh, I also wanted to tell people that I am starting to put on my site Hauntseeker.com about Haunt groups as well. Maybe that might help spread the word.

So Ken, has Karen tried out the new sewing machine yet?
You guys need to get cranking on your capes and cloaks!
No Ms W, she's using it as a work table instead, but she's always cranky, ummmm, err, I mean cranking out props, yeah, that's what I meant, hehehe...

I went to that one in the mall last year with the kids. It had a few good startles, but I think it's aimed towards families so it's not as scary as others I've been...
Well DT - I think Sunday it's just you and me. Is 10:30 a good start time?
If anybody else wants to join in, please do so!!!!!

It was a short day for the Make and Take due to me. I just don't have the will power for sewing today. LOL. Sorry Ms. Wicked. I know you were really gun ho about teaching today. My mind was on over load after you talked about naps. Which is what I need now. LOL. Here are a few pictures of Ms. Wicked cutting the pieces out for my groundbreakers. Ms. Wicked was telling me about the Jersy Boys coming down next year. I told Ms. Wicked I might be able to invite this one lady who writes books about Halloween displays. She might like to few of the Jersey Boys...And I am not talking Bon Jovi either. LOL

LOL Mark - not to worry!!!!
Sewing isn't much of a spectator sport. However, I hope that you pick up a few things in case you ever think you might want to try making something on your own.
Should have stayed for some chili - it turned out great!!!!!
